Sneak Peek: Alexandra + Evan

Washington bride and groom walking in her sweetheart wedding dress and his black tux toward a garden wedding of white roses

Wow, 2021 is flying by. I’ve had my head down for most of this year focusing on this wedding season as my couples have been a mix of those who postponed their 2020 weddings and others who didn’t. It’s been extra important to me that this season go off without a hitch considering the year they/we all just had (and continue to have).

Alexandra + Evan got their dream wedding last weekend at Sander’s Estate and it was a magical garden dream. I couldn’t wait to share a few images (even though I’m still working on their full gallery) so here’s a sneak peek!

I’m so thankful for each couple who lets me + my camera join in their big day! I can’t believe this summer is almost over!

It’s rumored that 2022 is going to be the busiest wedding season yet so please reach out if you’re in the midst of planning your wedding. I’d love to be a part of it!

Now Booking Summer Family Sessions!

Since this summer is looking a bit different than expected, I’m offering portrait sessions all summer long!! If your family is in need of updated portraits (Christmas card season is right around the corner),  if you’re a couple celebrating a milestone or a small business owner in need of updated imagery, I’d love to work together!

2020 Mini-Sessions
Aug 8 & 9, Oct 3 & 4
30 minutes | Locations TBD | 15 images

Custom Portrait Sessions
30-90 minutes | Location & date of your choice | all the best images delivered (typically 50-100)

Due to Covid-19, I will be implementing new precautions to ensure zero contact with your loved ones, including mask wearing (for me) and social distancing. In addition, my mini-session slots are spaced out wider than previous years to ensure families don’t come in contact with each other and deposits are 100% refundable.

Hannah + Alex | Pioneer Square, Seattle

This wedding was one for the books! Hannah described it as “classic elegance with a twist!” They went for a “secret garden” in the city vibe inspired by the romance & colors of Dutch floral still life paintings. I couldn’t have been more in love with every single detail and color!! Hannah did all the DIY herself, including the beautiful seating chart board. What a gorgeous day!

Published: Seattle Met Magazine

This sweet and playful nursery is featured in Seattle Met Magazine this month! Cassandra LaValle of Coco+Kelley and her work-wife, Sara Adrienne, owner of South Seattle restaurant, Homer designed this sweet nursery for Sara’s baby. These two are an unstoppable duo - combining vintage charm (hello, amazing boho rug!) with classic accents from Serena & Lily. Baby Simone even made a guest appearance to her shoot (we aimed at scheduling it before her due-date) but she couldn’t resist joining the party!

Published: The Captain Whidbey Inn

This past year I had the pleasure of photographing the Captain Whidbey Inn and restaurant as they re-opened their doors in May. This beautiful, historic inn underwent renovations to reflect its history and roots, while updating, brightening and sprucing up the rooms and interiors.

The inn’s new owners did a killer job, resulting in praise and features by big publications like Conde Nast TravelerVogueFilson and Eater Seattle. I am so dang honored to see my photographs alongside these raving reviews and I hope if you find yourself on Whidbey Island, you stop in for the night! The rooms are beyond cozy and the restaurant & bar are DELICIOUS.

Expert Tips for the Perfect Backyard Wedding - Featured by Redfin

If you’re planning a backyard wedding and unsure where to start, Redfin just blogged some tips and tricks that could help! My tip below was included in the article, inspired by Alyssa + Billy’s 2016 riverside wedding in Maple Valley, WA.

“The perfect backyard wedding starts with letting the space speak for itself! Let nature be the decor and for an added spin, ask all of your guests to dress in a color palette that compliments your wedding colors. Your guests’ coordinated attire will complement the backdrop of your wedding and become a natural decor element!”
