This past year I had the pleasure of photographing the Captain Whidbey Inn and restaurant as they re-opened their doors in May. This beautiful, historic inn underwent renovations to reflect its history and roots, while updating, brightening and sprucing up the rooms and interiors.
The inn’s new owners did a killer job, resulting in praise and features by big publications like Conde Nast Traveler, Vogue, Filson and Eater Seattle. I am so dang honored to see my photographs alongside these raving reviews and I hope if you find yourself on Whidbey Island, you stop in for the night! The rooms are beyond cozy and the restaurant & bar are DELICIOUS.
If you’re planning a backyard wedding and unsure where to start, Redfin just blogged some tips and tricks that could help! My tip below was included in the article, inspired by Alyssa + Billy’s 2016 riverside wedding in Maple Valley, WA.
“The perfect backyard wedding starts with letting the space speak for itself! Let nature be the decor and for an added spin, ask all of your guests to dress in a color palette that compliments your wedding colors. Your guests’ coordinated attire will complement the backdrop of your wedding and become a natural decor element!”

I had the pleasure of photographing two of the kindest, sweetest souls this past weekend at The Rainier Club. Alyssa’s smile lit up a room and their love was evident in every glance, hand hold and interaction. Her stunning florals + decor were created by the talented Steve Moore of Sinclair + Moore. This wedding was one for the books!!
Congratulations, Jeremy + Alyssa!!
Gray Magazine recently featured the amazing company Certain Standard’s new office storefront that The Residency Bureau designed. I was honored to photograph the gorgeous space and have my photo featured in this month’s issue of Gray Magazine! What a treat!
Anna + Buck’s Vail wedding was a favorite of 2018! Their wedding location was the ranch that Anna’s family spent her childhood summers, horses ran wild and love was abundant. This wedding was a fun one and you can see the full set here! Enjoy!
We’re a little behind on keeping our blog up to date but this feature was definitely a highlight of our summer! Such a big thank you to Bridal Musings for featuring Jaclyn + Travis’ Maroni Meadows wedding.
This was such a special wedding to capture - from the cutest ring bearer we’ve ever seen to the groom splitting his pants on the dance floor - every moment of this wedding was fun, intentional and beautiful! Congrats again, J+T!!

Getting to photograph the Lengle family every fall for their Christmas card is one of my favorite post-wedding season shoots. Photographing families is what drew me to photography 10 years ago so capturing yearly images for different families around Seattle & LA is one of my favorite ways to ease out of wedding season and into the holidays.
Email me if you ever have a need for family portraits! I’ll be offering a day of mini-sessions in the spring so keep a look out for that on Instagram after the holidays come and go!
Cheers!
My talented friend Lauren Essl of Blue Eye Brown Eye recently moved here to Seattle and after her & her husband remodeled their new home, she asked if I would capture the home before they move all their stuff in. Every detail of her space is to die for and getting to photograph the space pre-furniture was such a fun experience. It allowed me to focus on the details they poured their hearts into rather than focusing on styled nooks and crannies like usual….although don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait to photograph it again once all their gorgeous belongings are in place.
